Zain Bhikha Joins Mohamed Tarek in New Single ‘SubhanAllah’ – A Heartfelt Tribute to Allah
In yet another sensational collaboration this year, Zain Bhikha is delighted to release “SubhanAllah” with one of the Arab world’s most celebrated artists in recent times – the dynamic Mohamed Tarek.
Zain was first introduced to the young Egyptian artist’s music when he heard Mohamed Tarek’s mesmerizing rendition of the Burdah (in conjunction with the equally talented Mohammed Youssef). He was so impressed with the lyrical prowess of the duo that he reached out, and was delighted when Mohamed Tarek responded that he was keen to work together.
Tarek, whose voice and composition have made waves in the Islamic music world, began his career on YouTube. Since then he has has gained acclaim as a multifaceted artist known for songs that combine classical Arabic music with modern sensibilities to produce a distinctive sound that is also approachable to a broad audience. The single, “SubhanAllah”, that Zain Bhikha and Mohamed Tarek co-wrote and produced will no doubt make waves across cultures, countries and age demographics due to its universal appeal.
With the third kalimah as its underlying theme- the eternal praise of God’s ‘Glory, Virtue and Greatness’, the song celebrates the magnificence of Allah’s greatness, who alone is the Sustainer and Creator of all in the Heavens and on Earth. Zain’s previous rendition of “Glory Be Allah To Allah”, that he sang with his dear friend Dawud Wharnsby many years ago, remains amongst his most iconic, and this most recent version, with its rich feel, will no doubt leave an equal lasting impression.
Zain used Mohamed Tarek’s Arabic inspiration to tell the unforgettable story of how our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), took this invocation to his daughter Faatima (RA) when she was in dire need of aid – “Oh my Father, I feel sad To come to you today These times have been so tough I’m just in need of a little help Oh my beloved daughter Queen of all my heart May I give you something better Say these words after salaah SubhanAllah Alhamdullillah La ilaha illallah”
The song’s melody, a harmonious blend of Tarek and Bhikha’s unique and impressive vocal prowess, is at once upbeat and yet classic. Zain Bhikha is delighted to have worked with some of the world’s leading Nasheed artists in the course of his career. SubhanAllah is yet another feat that will no doubt please both artists’ fans and gain even more from around the globe for both Mohamed Tarek and Zain Bhikha.
The official video for “SubhanAllah” is available on the ZainBhikhaOfficial YouTube channel. The song is available with voice and drum on all streaming platforms.
